VAT Is Still FULLY Reclaimable On Pickups

Don’t Discount the Idea of a Work Pick-up

Make Sure You Understand the Recent Legislation Changes

Reclaim your VAT on Isuzu Pick-ups

Drivers of Double cab and Extended cab pickups are still eligible to claim their VAT back.

Avoid confusion following HMRC’s recent changes to benefit in kind legislation. The change, which saw  Double cab and Extended cab pick-ups no longer classified as “work vehicles” has caused some confusion for drivers with regards to VAT, but in good news for business users drivers are still able to claim back their VAT on Isuzu pick-ups.

What makes a pick-up eligible for claiming back VAT?

There is no change to the VAT treatment of double cab pick-ups. Provided the pick-up has a payload of 1 tonne or more, it is considered to be a goods vehicle for VAT purposes and VAT can be reclaimed by the business according to the normal rules.

Important Note: In addition to still being able to claim VAT, it is worth noting the cost of a Road Fund Licence is still just £345!
