Job location:         Covering all depots but based at Blandford or South Petherton Depot

 

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team player to provide product sales support and demonstrations to the sales team working closely with our customers and suppliers to achieve key targets and deliver revenue and profitability in line with company budget. This role will involve working across the complete sales territory for C&O Tractors covering areas from West Sussex to Devon and thus, working with each depot sales manager.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstration of new tractors, harvesters and other machinery in support of the sales team
  • Demonstration of precision farming equipment
  • Offer occasional technical support to the Service Department to solve customer issues, especially related to precision farming and harvesting product
  • Contributing towards the achievement of sales targets set by our major suppliers
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Present, promote and assist the sales of machinery and equipment to meet the needs of existing and prospective customers
  • Carry out in-house training on new technologies to sales, parts and service staff, when required
  • Selling the complete package of product plus after-sales to add value to the sales proposition
  • Deliver professional product installations to customers in support of the sales team
  • Management of company demonstration fleet
  • Provide sales support in the office and at promotional events as back up to the sales team
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Supply management with activity reports
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Implementation of company health & safety procedures

Administration:

  • Maintaining accurate records of all customer demonstration activity
  • Working with a customer contact diary and planner
  • Produce monthly activity reports

Communication:

  • Keep sales team and management fully aware of demonstration activities
  • Liaison and communication with customers, colleagues, manufacturers and suppliers
  • Monthly sales meetings – sharing of relevant sales news and progress
  • Working closely with company Marketing team to ensure full customer reach and raise company and suppliers’ brand awareness
