12 May 2010 - ATV Demo Day
C&O's Honda ATV Demo Day near the Blandford Depot today was a real success. In conjunction with Honda, we were able to offer our customers the opportunity to ride a variety of ATV's from the range on some fabulous off-road terrain at Lower Bryanston Farm. With expert tuition from the Honda instructors, customers took their ATv's through the woods at the farm to get an understanding of how to ride quads off road and over difficult ground. The feedback from our customers was great and we will certainly look to hold a similar event next year nearer our Wilton Depot, so look out for that!

12 March 2010 - Great turn out for our Open Days!
Thanks to all those who came along to our open days at Wilton and Blandford. We had over 600 visitors over the 2 days and the T7040 Auto Command on the rolling road proved a popular display. Thanks also to those who bought raffle tickets and helped us raise £500 for the Air Ambulance in Dorset and Somerset
11 February 2010 - Open Days
As part of our 10 year anniversary celebrations, our Blandford and Wilton depots will be holding back-to-back Open Days. Blandfords will be on the 10th March and Wiltons will be on the 11th March. All are welcome from 4pm onwards and alongside some exciting new machinery, including the T7040 Auto Command and the T6090, we will be offering complimentary refreshments and hog roast. Come and meet the team and help us celebrate!

November sees the launch of our "Deal of the Month" programme. Each month we will be putting together a special deal for our customers from different areas of the business, so one month may be a chainsaw promotion, and another month may be on tractor spares.

30 September 2009 - Combine Evening
C&O hosted a Combine Harvester evening last week, demonstrating the CR9080, the CX8030 and the CSX7060 in our workshop at Blandford. Customers were invited to look over the combines and listen to a talk from New Holland about the range and their yield mapping equipment.
9 September 2009 - Ellingham, Gillingham & Shaftesbury and the Dorset County Show
The Dorset County Show marks the end of another year of big agricultural shows for C&O. This year we went bigger and better than ever before and every event was a success. This was also the first year for a few years that we haven't had to wade out of the mud to get home each night! Thanks to all those that came to visit us on the stand and making the events as interesting as they were.

June 2009 - New Holland Does Glastonbury!
For the third year now, Glastonbury will be serviced by a fleet of iconic blue tractors, helping setup fences, stages and stands to prepare the 900 acre site on Michael Eavis's Worthy Farm at Pilton.
Mr Eavis has three New Holland workhorses on his farm throughout the year, and his choice of tractors is rooted in their approach to preserving the environment. "We have always wanted Worthy Farm and the Glastonbury Festival to be as green and as sustainable as possible. New Holland fits in well with that as they are also working hard to find something greener."
"Love the farm: Leave no trace". In order to remove metal objects such as tent pegs and pieces of wire that have been left behind, and that could cause damage, an enormous magnet is fitted to the front of a tractor to 'hoover' up these potentially-perilous objects, but it is a time consuming and onerous task. 2009's innovation is the use of the Intellisteer automatic steering system with satellite guidance, this means that the driver can drive straight as a die, doesn't miss sections and doesn't waste time and fuel by overlapping too much. Just another example of New Holland's green credentials.

June 2009 - RABDF Gold Cup Winners Open Day
The agricultural team spent a beautifully sunny day meeting customers and members of the agricultural community at the RABDF Gold Cup Winners Open Day in Dorchester on the 2nd June.
As preferred suppliers to JF Cobb & Sons, C&O was invited to exhibit at their open day. The event was an opportunity for attendees to have a tour round the farm and get an understanding of what it takes to become a Gold Cup winning dairy herd.
May 2009 - MacMillan Cancer Support Donation
C&O Tractors were proud to present a cheque for £600 to MacMillan Cancer Support, bringing the total amount of money the company has raised for the charity in the past year to over £1,000. Employees at C&O Tractors elected MacMillan Cancer Support as their chosen charity for the year and part of the revenue from each tractor sale has been contributed to the fund.
In addition, C&O Tractors hosted a prize draw event at the company's annual Open Day last month, where customers raised an amazing £362. Prizes for the draw, which included a petrol strimmer and a lawnmower, were kindly donated by manufacturers in the industry and C&O Tractors customers were not shy in coming forward to buy their raffle tickets. C&O Tractors would like to thank all those involved in raising money for this important cause.
